DB Systel arose out of the amalgamation in 2007 of DB Systems and DB Telematics. We were thus one of the first European companies to follow the technological trend of merging IT and telecoms into ICT (information & communications technology) by pooling our competencies within the framework of an integrated service provider. The solutions DB Systel provides are taken up by customers from within DB AG but also by mobile-telephony and fixed-line carriers, DSL providers and cable network operators. The company, Deutsche Bahn’s systems arm, employs 5,100 people and is registered in Frankfurt am Main.
